Happiness here I come...

So I have just signed up to participate in the #100happydays project. Some of you may have already heard of this or are doing it yourselves already.

I had seen it on Instagram by a few people I follow on there and was intrigued, so I checked it out for myself:

http://100happydays.com/#what

It is basically to encourage people to find a little something that makes them happy each and every day. I think we could all do with a bit more happy in our lives, I know I could. I am guilty of being more of a pessimist than an optimist and I really would like to change that. I need to be more positive and look for the good and on the bright side of life.

I'm starting April 1st and will be posting my pics on Instagram (I really love this app, I have met so many awesome people through it and it almost feels like an online community, I would choose this over facebook any day). I will share some of the pictures here as well, maybe it will inspire you guys and put a smile on your face. I'm hoping it will make me more appreciative of my lot in life, let's face it...I'm pretty darn blessed and shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

So I will keep you guys posted, you all know by now that I can be notorious for starting and not finishing things! This will be my first month of playing along with Fat Mum Slim's photo a day challenge that she does every month where I have actually (almost) completed a full month.

Check her (Chantelle's) blog out too, she's awesome:

Take care,

Lacking in inspiration

I always seem to be apologising for my lack of posts of late, I guess I just haven't felt as though I have anything of interest to say.

I haven't been up to anything particularly noteworthy of late and life has been same ol' same ol', I need to figure out something to say that won't bore you to death.

But I still felt like I should come say hey, pop my head in so you all know that I am still alive. I'm rather tired today, my daughter has had a high temp all yesterday and still warm today. It really played havoc with her sleep and I was up a gazillion times between 12-3am and then up for the day at 6am, thankfully my son is at kindy today so it has been fairly chilled.

I am going to keep it short and sweet and will go away and try and think up some ideas for future posts. For those of you that have stuck around during my long absences, I thank you.

Hopefully I will be back with something inspiring in the near future, till then...take care.

Life has a way of getting in the way ;)

I had good intentions of posting regularly since I apologised in my last post for not being around enough.

But then life happens and those good intentions fall to the way side. Without going in to too much detail, my brother-in-law got sick and has been (and still is) in hospital and that threw everyone a curve ball. It's been hectic, I have been trying to help my sister out on occasion with her kids as well as my two handfuls...especially this week.

My daughter is teething big time and my gosh she is a miserable so and so who is hard to please, she did my head in with all the crying and tantrums this week. In other news though, she will be starting kindy one day a week as of next month so I am looking forward to having a day to myself to get stuff done.

It's amazing what you can achieve when they are out of the way, hubby took the kids out for a swim at his brother's house this morning and I did a massive clean of the entire house...feeling rather accomplished.

So I thought since I had a few minutes spare that I should check in and say hi and apologise (yet again) for my absence.

That will do for now, I want to take advantage of the peace and quiet while the kids are sleeping and do a couple of more bits and pieces around the house that I have been meaning to do (I have a house inspection next Wednesday, joy).

Take care
